Godaddy and WordPress in Windows Environment
Leave a comment »
Here's a few hints for setting up WordPress on Godaddy in a windows environment. This is for filling out the wp-config.php.
Hint 1: Your Db Name and User Name are the same when setting up your mysql DB in GoDaddy.
Hint 2: When you set up your mysql dbase in Godaddy, use 5.0.
Hint 3: Be sure you upgrade the IIS to 7 on Go Daddy before you install.
Hint 4: It takes longer than 5 minutes if you have never done it before.
Hint 5: Remember password is case sensitive.
Hint 6: You should cut and paste the host name if you can. The host name is obtained in the details section (click the pencil Icon) under mysql dbases.
Good Luck and God Bless!
