Marina Espinoza is 17 years old.  She currently attends Northeast School of the Arts in San Antonio.    She is a high school junior majoring in Musical Theatre.  She recently appeared as Rosalia in the school’s production of Westside story.    She has studied voice on under Lindsey Van De Kirk since she was twelve, qualifying as a semi-finalist in the Texas NATS competition in 2009.  She was the lead singer for Take Note San Antonio Youth Band 2008 & 2009 directed by Javi Garcia, coached by Marc Martinez with the project oversight by Monalisa Montgomery.

Music is her passion and she is inspired by Elizabeth and the Catapult who played a song just for her on the streets of Austin during South X Southwest.  Other influences are Esperanza Spalding, Regina Spektor, Laura Marling, Zooey Deschanel, Ingrid Michaelson, Norah Jones, Dolly Parton, Ella Fitzgerald and Linda Eder. Participating in America’s Got Talent is a realization of a lifelong dream of performing.  She hopes to entertain while inspiring a love and support for the arts.
